The shift to 5G hardware is much closer than you think, despite the fact that it will still be a couple of years before telecom companies begin to deploy the technology. Intel has announced it will launch its XMM 8000 series modem which will give laptops 5G capability by the second half of next year. Obviously, Dell also owns Alienware so it needs to tip toe its way around the gaming segment and as a result most Inspiron 15 Gaming laptops tend to have mid-range specifications. The latest version of the Inspiron 15 7000 represents an upgrade over the previous version including a better GPU and a switch to an IPS panel and the addition of a fingerprint reader.
